Our Trainers

Sharon is an award-winning and ICF credentialed coach, NLP practitioner and DISC Master trainer. She is also Head of Training and Development and leads the core training team at The Coaching Academy.

Sharon coaches and trains both in the corporate and public sector and uses DISC and the knowledge of the DISC behaviour model with every client she works with. Since 2011 Sharon has developed an impressive reputation as a DISC practitioner and trainer and has profiled hundreds of people, working with small, medium, and large teams. As a DISC master trainer she brings her unique and very interactive style of training to bring the sessions alive leaving you and your team with numerous “lightbulb” moments. Sharon works closely with clients to ensure they understand how to build, maintain, and motivate powerful, high-performing teams, helping leaders and managers develop the self-awareness and emotional intelligence to become a master of communication through the knowledge of DISC.

Years of immersion in DISC has given Sharon an incredible perspective when it comes to understanding people and how teams interact, she will share that knowledge with you. Sharon has worked with clients both in the private and public sector, with clients that include Chanel, VISA, NewlyWeds Foods, Holly & Co, The Metropolitan Police, Camelot, Shell UK, Aviva Insurance, and Hertfordshire County Council.

Rachel Russell is a trainer, facilitator, and ICF Accredited Coach focused on empowering business leaders, individuals, and teams to imbed an inclusive coaching culture, improve performance and achieve success through motivational, transformational training and facilitation.

Rachel has 20 years of practical business experience. She has managed multi-million-pound stakeholder relationships, facilitated change, team, and personal development, managed outsourced and shared services, and driven marketing and business development through the senior leadership roles she has held, through delivering training, coaching, facilitation, and service excellence. Rachel’s experience spans Insurance, Banking, Professional Services, Technology, High-End Retail, and Business to Business Services. Clients include Burberry, Brunel University, Chanel, Engie, NatWest, and Santander.

Rachel has a BA Hons Business Studies, Diplomas in Personal Performance Coaching and Business Coaching, is Accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF), and is an Accredited DISC personality profiler. Her training programmes are accredited by the CPD Standards Office.

Krush Makwana is an Occupational Psychologist, Coach, Mentor, and Facilitator with more than 15 years’ of experience with various sectors spanning FMCG, Investment Banking, Hospitality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Public Sector, Defence, Retail, Business Consultancy, Media, and the Internet. Partnering with brands including Chanel, Unibail Rodamco Westfield, L’Oréal, MBDA, Deutsche Bank, Scopely, Farfetch, Hobbs, Depop, Tewin Bury Farm Hotel and the Royal Navy.

Having worked operationally within Investment Banking during the economic downturn, Krush has first-hand experience working in high-pressure environments and understands the importance of effective and trusted relationships within the work environment. Her breadth of experience means she has a balanced understanding of individuals’ inevitable challenges within organisations. Krush has a wealth of knowledge within the field of Learning and Development and therefore prioritises the tangible application of learning into the workplace to benefit the business, the bottom line and the people at the heart of the organisation too. Krush is passionate about creating a workplace whereby leaders support their teams to thrive in a harmonious environment where managers and leaders, lead effectively and team members are empowered, inspired, and motivated to work towards a shared goal. Krush has experience in transforming teams and organisational cultures to create high performance, increase collaboration, foster trust, and enhance communication.

Krush has an MSc in Occupational Psychology, BSc in Occupational Psychology, Diploma in Personal Performance Coaching, DISC Licensed Trainer, and Level A&B in feedback.

A qualified Teacher, Lecturer, Coach, NLP Practitioner and DISC European Master trainer, Dave has amassed a phenomenal amount of hands-on experience including 8 years as a teacher and 4 years as a lecturer followed by 15 years as a business owner. Since 1993 Dave has developed an impressive reputation within the world of psychometric testing as a DISC Master trainer. He has worked with major organisations including First Leisure, The Esporta Group, Whitbread, David Lloyd Health Clubs, Bourne Leisure (Butlins, Warner Hotels & Haven Holidays) Universal Studios, Therekos Pharmaceuticals and number of Venture Capital brands. Dave has helped organisations understand how to build, maintain and motivate powerful, high performing teams, helping leaders and managers develop the self-awareness and emotional intelligence to become masters of communication through an understanding of DISC. Dave has delivered DISC training throughout the UK and around the world including Korea, Japan, Australia, The USA, France, Belgium, Italy, Germany to name but a few.
