Historically, the business had used the MBTI Profiles. Having already investigated several different profiling tools to embed into the organisation, the Learning and Engagement Manager was looking for new practical profiling tools to implement within the business to support a major change occurring within the organisation.
The training would support the seven learning and development team members and also needed to be delivered online.
To deliver a full-day DISC Certification Training for the Learning and Development Team members online.
The outcome was to increase self-awareness and behaviour preferences, along with ways for the team to communicate better across the business. This team partners with many areas of business, so conversations needed to be focused on how they can use it across the organization on a practical basis.
Pre-training design and needs analysis/meeting with the Learning and Engagement Manager, Louise Dunn, to understand the client’s vision and outcomes and ensure the training was directly relevant to needs and expectations.
DISC Profile Assessments: Before the session's delivery, each team member completed a DISC profile assessment to gain deeper insight into their preferences and understand each team member's behaviour and communication preferences.
Management Reports: To enhance current practice and understand how Learning and Development interacts as a team, we discussed the group collective profiles through DISC management reports.
Flexible On-line Training Delivery: An interactive in-person training session was designed and delivered for the client. Our goal was to provide a relevant training solution online so that each member of the team could use it in the workplace and immediately.
Use of the Psychology of Motivation and DISC Behaviour model: DISC is the universal language of behaviour, and part of the training included sharing the able/motivated matrix, which supports the identification of skills gaps and the development of top performers. By embedding this model within the Learning and Development Team members' interactions, we covered the psychology of motivation and the behaviour of teams and individuals within the broader organisation of Booths.
A Personal EH Booths DISC Portal: To support the client's goal of increasing overall team performance across the business and linking DISC to their “Future Manager Programme,” a personalised DISC Business Portal will be set up so the Learning and Development team can profile individuals and teams using DISC profiling across the business. This portal will be branded with EH Booth's logos, and our dedicated DISC team will provide support and training for using it.
A multi-layered learning experience: including workbooks, handouts, discussions and interactive team activities, which were specifically designed for this organisation. Along with management reports and post-training review.
